I Have A Dream

History tells us that in every age there comes a time when leaders must come forth to meet the needs of the hour. Therefore, there is no potential leader who does not have an opportunity to better mankind. Those around him also have the same privilege. Fortunately, I believe God has surrounded me with those who will accept the challenge of this hour.

My dream allows me to give up, at any moment, all that I am in order to receive all that I can become.

My dream allows me to sense the invisible so I can do the impossible

My dream allows me to trust God's resources since the dream is bigger than all my abilities and acquaintances.

My dream allows me to continue when discouraged, for where there is no faith in the future, there is no power in the present.

My dream allows me to attract winners because big dreams draw big people.

My dream allows me to see myself and all my people in the future. Our dream is the promise of what we shall one day be.

Yes, I have a dream. It is greater than any of my gifts. It is as large as the world, but it begins with one.

Won't you join me?

As I continue to grow I notice that this dream is more than just a dream. It life, and there are two ways to live life. You can either just sit back and take what life throws at you. You can also drive to succeed, and be the best you can. Continue to push forward and strive to your potential. In Physics we learn that there is potential energy, the higher you lift something into the air the more potential energy you have. I continue to lift myself and build more and more potential energy, never stopping, never taking no for an answer, and never accepting defeat. You can always better yourself, until of course you yourself accept defeat.

Yes, there are times that you may fall and you may feel that you have lost and you are defeated, but it is the way you take it. You can sit around and mope about it or you can better from it. Improve and use it as fuel to become better. So keep dreaming and keep striving to be your best. If you fall get right back up and improve yourself.

O Show I think it's interesting that I read your blog on MLK Bday. Just reminded me that our dreams can actually become a reality but it's up to us. In your blog you said, "Your mind is limitless and full of infinite potential. How the hell do we get it out of our head and in to our lives!?" That is a question that I have been asking myself for some years now. I can't help but to bring my spiritual background into this blog because that's who I am. Proverbs 23:7 says, "For as a man thinketh in his heart so is he." It is definitely the attitude of the mind that pushes us to accomplish our goals and dreams. I think the problem (just speaking from personal experience) is that our minds become polluted by negativity and our past failures. And what happens without even knowing it, we set up block and strong holds in our minds that cause us to limit ourselves. The mind is the battle ground, it's where the fight/battle is won or lost. We must always keep in mind that we were created to think and reach for the impossibilities in life. Our mind is what limits us, because we look at things through the natural eye, but we can't limit ourselves to just what our eyes see (call it faith or whatever). For example, when I look around my room, I am limited to only what's inside these 4 walls. But outside of these 4 walls, there is the city of Sioux Falls, there is Paris and Rome, a whole world. It's just like our minds, if we limit ourselves to what we see then we are doing an injustice to what we were created for. But when we dream and try to peruse what we think is impossible, that's when we begin to live and open our minds to all kind of possibilities.

A response from Lisa Jewell!

I dream of a time when all of the people on this earth treat all of the other people on this earth with love, kindness, and respect ... those who are young and old; fat and thin,; tall and short; black and white and every color in between; rich and poor ... because we all come from the source ... that source is God and God is love.
